Reconstructing Consciousness Part 2-Making Sense of 2017 in the Planet Saturn’s Gandanta Year, Let Go of Limiting Patterns of Thought and Reclaim Your Magnificence

I am convinced that astrology is an exact science and we are but celestial puppets with lives predestined and predetermined by planetary arrangements at the time of our birth!

If we want to understand the year 2017 astrology provides an excellent perspective as to where we are going as a species; for example if we just take the planet Saturn which resides in our solar system and we dare to look at one significant planetary aspect that is causing the transmutation of the species within our physical material world; then we need to look at the planet Saturn from the Sidereal Astrology perspective that is where Saturn currently is residing in our solar system right now in relation to our earth mother as we traverse the celestial waters.

If we look up at the sky map the planet Saturn planet looks as if it is leaving the sign of Scorpio in sidereal Astrology and is beginning to feel the energy of Sagittarius. When a planet leaves one sign and enters another the energy of the planet will changes at the cusps of the signs; when a planet is placed close to a junction or cusp between two signs the planet is weakened, and this what is happening to Saturn and this change from a water sign Scorpio and a fire sign Sagittarius what is called Gandanta in vedic astrology which is a form of Sandhi.

In Vedic astrology sandhi is the connecting place, or junction, between two zodiac signs. Therefore Saturn’s transits through Gandanta provide us with opportunities for transformation and growth. Planets that transit Gandanta go through transformation process. Gand actually means “a knot”. Gandanta can be translated as “the knots at the end”, making the energy at Gandanta often entwined and complex.

If we put Gandanta in perspective as it relates to our life the best way to consider what is happening in our solar system is in relation to how you are feeling and what is manifesting for you in your external reality. When planets transit gandanta, it will bring up deep issues that need to be faced with in each of us and collectively with the potential of great rewards and benefits. If we truly allow ourselves to have a leap of faith, and allow ourselves to face the old patterns that no longer serve us which manifest as conflicting ideals and value systems in our all relationships and learn to transmute these energies; we will be free to reconnect more intimately with our Essence Quintessence.

Now is the time for each of us to go deeper, and allow ourselves to face our negative patterns of thought; you know those thought patterns that limit our ability to thrive in the world we are creating. This will include any emotional debris we may be holding on to which to the unconscious is creating a toxic inner environment. You see it is the negative thought patterns that must be dissolved; and so just allow these energies to arise in the moment in order to be cleared; you have permission to do that here as this will greatly accelerate your transformation and growth.

If we truly allow ourselves to put Gandanta into perspective in with our sky map. Gandanta occurs between the signs of Pisces and Aries, between Cancer and Leo, and between Scorpio and Sagittarius.  Many Vedic astrologers use a Gandanta Zone that begins at 29 degrees 12 seconds in a water sign (the last 48 seconds) and ends after 48 seconds into a fire sign. In order to keep the higher level meaning of Gandanta is that 29 degrees of any sign will signify the ability to be Clairvoyant within any individual which means we all have the capacity to reclaim our ability to see beyond our 3rd dimensional reality allowing each of us to have more clarity as we pierce the veil of deception of our physical material world.

Now because Saturn’s 2017 Gandanta occurs at the junction between a water sign and a fire sign, which is taking place close to the cusps of both signs, in the last degree of a water sign and in the first degree of a fire sign this is very significant from an astrological prospective. You maybe feeling like you are drowning or not able to get a solid footing as to what is going on in your life or the world, you could also feel a bit disoriented.

It is important to note that planets that travel swiftly through the sky and make a quick transit through Gandanta may not have much of an effect. However, slow moving planets that take longer to transit Gandanta will invariably have a deeper impact.

In order to put the year 2017 in perspective with Gandanta at the cusp between Scorpio and Sagittarius; this area of our sky map is the most difficult of the three Gandanta zones, particularly the last degree of Scorpio which is the tail of a scorpion that inflicts its sting.

Here is another perspective you see the area of the zodiac where Saturn is traversing now is called the Vishakha Nakshatra in Vedic astrology or lunar mansion in western astrology and the symbol cluster of stars is assigned to it is that of a potter’s wheel, but sometimes in ancient texts it is indicated by an archway and it is important to note that Saturn is exalted here.

You may be asking what is a Nakshatra?

The term “Nakshatra,” when broken down into its constituent parts: “naks” meaning “sky” and”shetra” meaning “region”, translates into “Sky Map.”

Here is a list of the 28 Nakshatra’s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakshatra

In the Vedic (Hindu) system of Astrology, known in Sanskrit as Jyotish, the 27 constellations and not the 12 star-signs are the key to understanding celestial influences on our planet. These 28 constellations are known as the 28 Nakshatras, which are 300 to 400 light years away from earth.

The system of constellations is very ancient, dating back more than 5,000 years as they were referred to in the oldest Veda (Hindu’s scripture). These lunar mansions appear in Chinese and Arabic astrology but have not received much attention in Western or European astrology. of the 28 Nakshatras; there are 27 Nakshatras that consists of 13º and 20 minutes of the zodiac. Multiplying this length by 27 equals the entire zodiacal belt of 360 degrees.

It is important to note that Nakshatras and the signs of the zodiac both begin from the same point. The beginning of the first Nakshatra, or constellation of Ashwini, the first Nakshatra, is the same as that of the first sign of Aries. Each sign contains the combined influence of the Nakshatras falling with it. Compared to the signs, the Nakshatras possess a deeper effect. The signs of the zodiac are merely “a heap, mass, or collection” of influences as their Sanskrit name suggests. And the planets are the cosmic creative powers and each planet radiates certain specialized forces.

The planets make their impact on the zodiacal field of light codes which are designed to transform your consciousness.

This specialized circle divided by the signs and Nakshatras is the negative or passive field of influences, while the planets are the positive or active fields. The signs and Nakshatras create the necessary environment, while the planets are the precipitating forces. The 12 signs of the zodiac symbols veil the field of influence of the celestial sphere or map of the sky. If we have the capacity to dissolve the confining archetypical boundaries of our sky map we be able to identifyour selves with our Essence.

Vishakha is the 17th Nakshatra and Vishikha stands for transformation and from your vantage point on the potter’s wheel it is where you as the manifested being are right now and what you have already been. And yet this Vishakha phase give you the desire to look forward to discover what lies  deep within yourself that is your Essence your quintessence.

And for some of you if not already the Vishakha phase arouses the urge to change in order to achieve something which is not entirely known. And for many it is can be the beginning of spirituality which creates the urge to move towards the source of existence or Divine origin of things can occur under this asterism.

However most of humanity will most likely feel a kind of discontent or dissatisfaction with their existing conditions of life, you know when one become restless in one’s personal life, due to great psychological turmoil which are some of the main characteristics of Vishakha.

These kinds of impulses often leads to infidelity in marriage, or non-fulfillment of promises in personal relationships, it can also minimize the contribution of others in relatonships of all kinds. There may seem to be a great non-attraction, which is not necessarily repulsion, to existing conditions. For example it may mean that if one cheeks it does not arise due to any fault of the partner, or if one lets a friend down it does not arise due to their lack of warmth for the person.

These reactions are caused by a feeling of dryness at the central core of one’s being, which is outwardly expressed as restlessness. Dissatisfaction at the surface – which creates the urge to look within, only to discover  an impersonal existence a malaise, with an impulse or need to revolt which leads an unaware individual to experience great turmoil in one’s personal life.

And so it is this kind of turmoil that is represented by the potter’s wheel. Vishakha has inertia as its guiding impulse and harmony is the foundation on which this impulse acts.

In closing it is my hope that with a better understanding of what Gandanta is in relation to the planet Saturn that we can better examine and understand and navigate the transits through the sky map; we are making individually and collectively which will hopefully allow each of us to make sense of the 2017 and what is happening on the physical world stage.

As we assimulate these energies it will allow each of us to put Gandanta in perspective. As it is very unusual to see the planet Saturn in Gandanta which occurs three times in 2017, when we look at Saturn from the Sidereal Zodic.

Saturn will cross the Gandanta point between Scorpio and Sagitarius three times in 2017 because it will move into Sagittarius on January 26th but then retrograde back into Scorpio again June 9 -July 1st, 2017. And then Saturn will move direct again on August 25th, crossing the Gandanta point for a third time.

From an astrological point of view the second half of August is the most challenging time in 2017.

With the planet Saturn spending so much time in Gandanta; it will express energetically as uncertainty and instability on the physical world stage. While Saturn governs structures and foundations, Saturn also likes stability and routine. It is when structures, foundations and reforms fall apart, or change, that we experience fear and uncertainty.

It is important to not let what appears in the stories that proliferate on the physical world stage as the world falling apart in the form of structures, foundations and reforms, or change, causing us to experience fear and uncertainty as what appears in physical material reality is on an energetic level evolutionary change which is being precipitated by space weather.

Therefore it is important to note that Saturn in the Sidereal Zodiac (that is where Saturn is actually in the sky will not be fully in Sagittarius until after November 2017, staying until February 2020.
